Changes to the Website

Hi everyone!

As you may have noticed, the site has undergone some changes recently. For starters, we have the News section, which we will be using to announce new and upcoming courses that we are putting on, as well as other important happenings taking place at NTC. The second major change is that you can now view our courses by subject, in addition to by certification, which we believe will make it easier for visitors to find a particular course.

As for current events at NTC, we have a 3 week course focusing on using English in a formal setting, ran in association with Enable, which begins this coming Monday (22nd April). Details are here. We are also planning a course on photography and digital imaging software, details here. This should be up and running in the near future.

We hope that you enjoy using the updated website, and look forward to meeting many new students in the rest of 2013!

Citizenship Courses

We offer three different citizenship based courses, listed below.

The Nationality Regulations – we meet them all

You must have attended your ESOL course at an accredited college in order for it to count for your citizenship tests. We are accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Colleges) and therefore this meets the UKBA requirements of “accredited college” as ASIC are recognised by the UKBA for these purposes;
Our ESOL qualification meet the UKBA requirement of being a “relevant ESOL qualification” which means that it must be an ESOL qualification in speaking and listening at Entry 1, Entry 2 or Entry 3 level approved by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual);
The approved awarding body whose qualification we offer is Cambridge ESOL and they are on the UKBA “approved awarding bodies” list.
